Lemongrass Ginger Tea

 Hello! (: Its been a long while since I came to update my blog (: Not updating as often as last time because I am not free since I started to attend English classes. (: I decided to come once at least so that this blog will be a space for me to express my feeling still no matter what happens.

Lets see what had I done in these days. I go to work 24/7 and boil lemongrass ginger tea after work, a short nap before English classes and supper after English classes. :) 

talking about English classes, I attend a short English "course" of Science of life studies 24/7 to improve my broken English. I attend five classes a week. I find it pretty interesting and I learn a lot from it, of course I gain weight too because I go supper after class every night with my cousin brother! :P

I boil lemongrass ginger tea too! I boil it in every two days because I am grateful that I can still do something for my granny who is a vegetarian ( because I haven't know how to cook vegetarian dishes ) and she can drink the lemongrass ginger tea of mine! :D I don't know how to express that special feel and so I visit my friend's store very often just to get the best lemongrass I can get. 

I always think that I have to be truly grateful for what I have had and who are left with me at my age. I'm not young, not old yet of course. I want to love my grandmothers with actions. :D I'm glad I'm given chances to do so. Dummy can do something too right? :P ( I'm never smart at home, according to the lao langs ) heh. 

well yea, I'm actually here to note down my own recipe of lemongrass ginger tea and I typed a super long essay. :P 

I've added 800g of lemongrass, 10-15 pandan leaves, 5 litre of water, a small piece of ginger and 1.5 pieces of brown rock sugar. I like this kind of lemongrass ginger tea. Give it a try if you like ginger tea too! I've it in Mandarin version too. :P

800g 香茅
10-15 斑斓叶 ( 小叶的种类比较香)
水大约五litre
老姜一大块
冰片糖一片半

将水煮沸放入香茅,斑斓叶和姜块,滚一滚放入magic cooker 
几个小时后再煮滚一滚姜茶然后隔天就可以喝了 kiki emoticon 

*热热喝,身体会暖暖的,然后还会帮助排很多气
*姜块要依个人口味放大块的会有点辣,怕会太辣可以放小块的,建议用本地姜,文冬姜不错,比较香 kiki emoticon

hello! 我来了! :P hehehehe. 

its been a long while since I last updated my blog and I just found out that I missed the updates of my mother's day and father's day celebrations too this year! well, I treated the lao langs bigger meals and we had meals in decent restaurant this time! :)

not too bad and gained a big belly! :P

made kimchi with gocharu this time! very impressed with the texture of the kimchi I made for the first time with gocharu ( Korean chili powder ) though it tasted slighty too salty! :P followed Maangchi's recipe this time and added salted dried shrimps into my kimchi for the very first time and my sister was not impressed with the taste of  "seafood" xP.

made bibimbap too! first time ever that I made bibimbap I followed Aeris's recipe for bibimbap! I didn't add in all the ingredients added by Aeris since I can't get everything in Alor Setar and I don't like bean sprouts but then I'm very happy that I can make bibimbap too! thank kind people for sharing all the recipes online! ^_^ one thing not to forget to note down is that I substituted beef with pork neck! XD thank my cousin brother for the inspiration too! ^_^

Kimchi Jjigae

hello people! 

Its been quite a while since I last updated my blog. :P well, passing days like normal, single and cook for stress releasing still and so I haven't put down weight yet! not only 60 now, probably 63! heh. that freaked my parents out and kept on asking me to go to exercise because piglet isn't cute! :P

well yea, let me note down something bout Kimchi jjigae i made earlier! I followed recipe shared by Aeris

Aeris stated that all we need were kimchi, water, tuna, bean curd, yellow onion, scallions, garlic, salt, red hot pepper powder and kimchi broth. 

I added all the ingredients stated other than tuna and substitute tuna with pork slices I bought for shabu shabu. I also added chicken stock and brown sugar into it and so my kimchi jjigae taste like my kimchi jjigae but any other Korean restaurant. :P me too added Teochew bean curd into my Kimchi Jjigae! :P

well, I went back to yoga classes in the pass few days and I got to know one new friend which is also known as yoga ball! I think I fell in love with it. :D Hopefully I don't get muscle pain tomorrow! :)

卤肉面

我来了!

因为今天想煮卤肉面时找不到食谱而下定决心一定要来把食谱记载下来免得健忘的我又忘了卤肉的做法!:P


刚开始要做菜时看到这个,心都凉了一半!因为没得参考,没信心呀!不过还是谢谢圆猪猪,要不是因为有她,我都不会做卤肉饭!

第一次去台湾吃了卤肉饭就超级想学着自己做免得想吃卤肉饭就得飞到台湾去!那时候上网找了一个食谱就一直用到现在!

其实嘛,原本应该要做成卤肉饭可是因为本人比较爱吃面所以我几乎都把它煮成卤肉面然后配芫茜吃,香而不油腻对我来说是人间美味!(那也是在台湾吃控肉时学会来的!)

话不多说,咱们开始吧!

要卤肉嘛,首先我们需要五花肉,小红葱,姜,蒜头,米酒,五香粉,胡椒粉,盐,味精,酱油也叫生抽,黑酱油和冰糖。

首先,把小红葱炒香,把小红葱盛起备用。
然后把已切丝了的猪肉放入油锅里然后加入姜片和蒜片把猪肉丝爆香。
之后把猪肉丝放入已装有沸水的锅子里准备开始卤肉。
把红葱酥,米酒,五香粉,胡椒粉,盐,味精,酱油,黑酱油和冰糖加入猪肉丝的锅子里。
开始卤肉至汁收干,然后就可已盛起开饭咯!

这是我的卤肉的做法!

Taiwan trip 2014 III

Heyo people! I'm here again just to continue updating bout the Taiwanese trip I had last year! 

Taiwan is a treasure island that has all beautiful scenery, delicious street food and also shopping places for all the ladies! 

we went to Yeliu Geopark on a rainy day! I remembered that because I was running and Sunny told me to walk properly so that I didn't fall down like him. :P he fell down that day. :P 

Yeliu Geopark! one of the top favourite places of mine to visit! why? because of the crystal clear sea water and the sea breeze! :D


 Sunny asked me if i know whats this! i didn't know at first. its actually the look of the Taiwan in the map! its a potato look he said. heh.

after all then we all went to Jiufen! :) 

there is a shop named Misty sells best Taro puff I ever had! heh. just because I like it very much so I bought it back to Taipei for the breakfast next day! heh.

after all then team mates were starving and so Sunny brought us to “悲情城市” which serve 古早味typed meals!


he said that people used to eat rice with lard last time like the picture showed. well, not too bad after all, worth trying! :D 

then we went for famous yam balls! 阿柑姨's yam balls are definitely better than 赖阿婆's! at least it is not too chewy like chewing gums and I like it the best! :D

me too had 草仔粿! it taste like our chai kuey but then the flavour was slighty different that they even serve it with pickled radish which is also called chai por! :D 


went to shifen too! written my second lantern in Taiwan! :D

Hello March!

Heyo people! I'm here again! :D

Well, things happened in these days! we celebrated lunar new year and had lots of fun since nephews and cousins are back from overseas. Tummy is well and of course I gained weight too! :P Me too sold cookies and baked bak kwa muffins for the father of mine on the 7th day of lunar new year too! shared with some favourite people of mine too! :)
