Cempedak Butter Cake

hello people! I'm here for a short update about Cempedak butter cake because I was lucky that one customers of mine brought three Cempedak for me this morning! thought of baking a cake for him and so i googled! I remembered that saw its recipe before and so I finished up my jobs and left office earlier today.

got home at 1 and started to make noises in kitchen! heh. first time ever that i tried to cut a Cempedak! :) 

 this is how Cempedak looks like! its aroma beats everything! hah. 

i doubled the portion of cempedak in the ingredient list. I'm not quite sure if it is because i added too much of Cempedak or different mould i used so it turned out moist and tender but spongy? anyway its my first time baking butter cake. I shall keep on trying to find out why! heh.

Taiwan trip 2014 II

heya people! I'm here to continue the second part of my Taiwanese trip. it is all about Yilan and I really like Yilan though it is just a village with paddy fields around! why? because I feel home when i was there. i don't like to stay in hectic city and so i chose Alor Setar a few years ago and peaceful life is what i was looking for! heh. 

we stayed in 昀居. 昀居 is a homestay which is located in 礁溪! 

 me too found a kawan in 昀居! love teddy and so a friend of mine called me a girl. too childish he said! lol

went to 罗东夜市. had lots of 小吃 which Sunny recommended!

臭薯条！ it is stinky tofu in french fries look! not stinky when we had it. thank Sunny for sharing this with me. heh. 

 葱多包！ well this is nice! 陷料饱满 but then I prefer 柯氏葱油饼for no special reason! if you ever go Taiwan then you have to tell your tour guide to bring you there for 葱油饼！truly yumms and all the aunties love it too!

 照烧皮蛋！i like century eggs very much though i seldom eat that. they fried the century eggs and serve it with minced garlic, cucumber and special sauce. it was nice but then it was too salty for me! taste better if it taste less salty! :) Sunny's recommendation too.

小春小卜肉！special texture that i never had it in Malaysia! glad i tried it.

the homestay too prepared great breakfast for us! typical Taiwanese homemade breakfast!

 love the porridge the taukeh soh cooked with sweet potatoes and pork floss with toasted seaweed and sesame! coffee was good too because it was not bitter even though i didn't add in creamer and sugar! heh.

Sunny too fetched us to 南方澳观景台 too watch the sea! it was really nice that it is a must-go place if you ever go to Yilan.

we too went to 苏澳港 for Taiwanese seafood. bought a box of sashimi with Salmon and Tuna which only cost me RM10.

Sashimi was yums. give it a try if you ever go to 苏澳港too!

trip organiser was good! tour guide was good too with all the good recommendation and not rushing us to go for meals and starved with us! lol. feel free to contact Sunny if you are looking for a good tour guide with good service. you can contact him through email or his whatsapp, +886927629638

hello people!

Its been a while since I last updated my blog, made noises in my mommy's kitchen and watched a movie in the cinema! Paid the cinema a visit yesterday and I almost fell asleep. LOL

had fun I would say though I didn't buy popcorns. heh. used to watch movie very often when I was in KL seven years back and I even sat at the couple seats with the other bestie of mine. AHHHH. good old times. heh. I miss KL already but nevermind! I'm going back for a short break soon! I can't wait for it really. 

getting really forgetful and tired all these while. thought of typing something like an hour earlier but I forgot what was it about now. Still I came with a pointless update. :P

guess I need to sleep. hopefully everything turns smooth by tomorrow. hopefully.

Happy birthday!

Hello people! I'm here before the night ends because I'm here to wish my bestie happy birthday. hahahhaa.

Glad we are still friends after that long of time! People come and go, I know. Thats why I appreciate who is left with me.

Thank Buddha we are all happy kids still.

Let me talk about this friend of mine before I go on to bed. This friend of mine needs my ears sometimes though i seldom tell her about my stories. This friend of mine is my partner of Mac Donald's. I don't eat spicy chicken Mcdeluxe when she is not here. this friend of mine likes to tell me I'm irrelated with "thin" word. she likes to tell me that i'm fat though I never bother her. this friend of mine can be good friend of my sister too! she talks like my mom whenever I fall sick. she never stop mumbling whenever I tell her I eat instant noodles. she told me she will not eat fast food again and she dates me for KFC when she is home from Cambodia! yea, thats my bestie. hahahahahah.

I miss her already though i just saw her last weekend and called her this morning

I'm not posting her picture here because she minds it.so, happy birthday, Ms. Teoh! please be good and hard sell yourself. please be happiest and healthiest girl on earth. please take care. I'm here no matter what happens. I promise. ( if you ever find this out ) :P

I lost a friend a few days ago. I know we can't be friends. oh well, I must admit that I was too naive at first. I hope I can smile and wish him happy birthday again next year. I hope. heh. :)

Father's Day!

hello people! I'm back from a long while ago. hehehehehehe. ya right. getting really busy in these days and i've got no idea what did i do for all these while. :P I work, I cook, I smiled and i cried! thats what had happened to me all these while i guess. 

was really sensitive in the past few weeks. busy in and out for the Father's day preparation that my requested for daughter's homemade meals! baked a salty cake for the dad of mine instead of sweet just because he mentioned about it too many times after i served it to him a few months ago. 

had lots of fun cooking yam and pork and meatballs which are all his favourites. glad he ate them. :) not complaining at least. hehehehee. 

 the cake. i substituted it with bak gua also known as barbecued pork instead of ham because the lao langs at home don't really like ham. you can try it with this recipe. It is from one of my top favourite blogger and the recipe she shared are all very nice!

taken a picture with the dad of mine on this special day. face is big though i hide myself at the back. hahahahahaha. ya right. gained 10kgs in the past two years! my mom is going to kill me for keep on eating and not exercising. LOL

ya right. UGLY they said. they asked me to find out the ways to cut down the pounds i gained and work it out! hahahahahaha.

thats killing me softly.

Taiwan trip 2014 I

hello, people! i'm back from Taiwan with a big belly! heh. tried different types of snacks with Sunny by my side! Sunny is the tour guide of us who likes to eat like me. heh. 

HAD FUN. heh. 

went to NingXia night market when we first touched down in Taipei. should have gone for 知高饭 but then we were too excited seeing 胡须张, so we went there for 卤肉饭! yums though i prefer 卤肉饭of金峰in西门町. heh. 

had fried pork again. yumsss and my sister likes it too. :)

bought pink guava when Sunny lost his way in 西门町 while looking for our hotel. heh.

it was tasty though it is not seedless guava. 

never knew that we would go to 阳明山 because i never read our itinerary of the trip! heh. saw many calla lilies in 阳明山!  

海芋花！ simple yet elegant! i like!

went to 石门again but then we didn't go to watch the sea this time. 

taken pictures of my sister and i think i like this the picture the most! ya, right, she is my sister! isn't she pretty? heh.

went to Tamsui fishermen wharf again and fell down like a kid. glad my sister was there.

have you ever see the love with lights? no, i never. first time and glad i was there! 

went to Yilan and had foot spa in 礁溪! it is a public pool and so all the lao langs didn't try it out. it was nice because i had terrible foot ache in those days!

sisters. 

went to 亦顺轩 and bought a yam swiss roll which is called 奶冻！best swiss roll i ever had and thank Sunny for the good recommendation.

went to 望龙埤, had lots of fun with my sister! 

望龙埤, a lake with nice view which helps to relax your mind! 

heh. had very nice view and glad i knew a new friend in Taipei! will be back for updates later. stay tuned.

Hello people! I'm back for some updates before my short break!

not coming to update because i seldom cook and i slept right after lunch everyday and so i gained weight. tried to adjust my lunch time and had early dinner. still, too tired to stay awake for a long time so i have a big belly now. parents shake their heads whenever they see me eating. hehehehe.

well still i'm very happy in these days. i treat myself the best way i can because it is my life. if i don't love myself, who else will? anyway, life runs really smooth though i'm never fully awake.

why?

because many people want to breathe and they are not given a chance to why don't i fully utilise my opportunity given by Buddha? hehehehe.

ya right. i still smile everyday though lao langs mad at me for smiling to everyone. lol. ya right something happened. not too serious i think.
